We Use to Dance is an intimate portrait series that explores the personal lives of Sydney musicians during their time in isolation. Since March 2020, the live music industry and its community has not been the same. No blood, no sweat, no tears. After the abrupt closure of venues across the state, musicians no longer had a space to be their true selves. Forced from the stage into their homes, musicians now faced what they avoided the most, the banality of everyday life. Known to most for their onstage personas, We Used to Dance leaves the chaos of live shows behind and invites you into the personal and surprisingly calm lives of these Sydney musicians. The opposite of loud.
